This week I’m not going to lie I don’t have a ton to write about. The mission is going good and going way fast. It’s crazy. I have no idea how it is already p day. This week has been good.
We have one investigator named Lennin. He is cool. He is 16 but super Catholic. He went to two session of conference but when we teach him he is always just like, I don’t know I want to go to your church and my catholic church. I’m Catholic. I like your church but I like my Catholic church. He went to a baptism on Saturday and he came to both church meetings. He came in the morning and in the afternoon with his sister. Before my mission there is no way I would ever go to 6 hours of church, so that was cool. After he said I’m going to get baptized now. He will get baptized on the 25 so that is cool.
I will probably have changes this week cause I’m finishing my training. A lot of times you get changes after training or my comp will get changed. Elder Naupoto will become the district leader probably one or the other but its chill. I’ll go where ever the Lord wants me to go, and as long as there are people and place to have church it’s good.
All week I was thinking when something happens that I need to write them down so I don’t forget but really just not a lot happened. It was a good week. We worked hard but as far as stories, I’m not sure.
On Saturday we ate a ton of food that was good. Right before lunch I ate a big bowl of oatmeal cause we fast from lunch to lunch and the last few days Hazel hasn’t been home so we have been getting like leftovers. It’s good food but just like what’s in the fridge. Some spaghetti and some rice some beans and rice but I guess Hazel felt bad about it cause she gave us a ton of food so it was sweet. We had forgotten we had another lunch appointment. One of the sisters is finishing her mission so a lady in the ward invited us to carne asada. It was way good but a ton a food me and my comp. After we were like I’m going to die. Fast Sunday was way easy haha.
On Friday night Elder Naupoto and Elder Porras slept over so we had pizza. It was good. The pizza here is nothing like American pizza but its good. Other areas have real pizza like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. It is way good but here we just have some random ones. The best so far is Papa Jams. It’s pretty good. A grande comes with 2 liters of coke. That’s one dope thing about the mish, we are allowed to drink coke and its way cheep here. Some kids are literally addicted to coke here. There is a kid that came with me Elder Paine and he drinks 3 liters of coke a day. I don’t drink a ton, like a half a litter a few times a week cause its only 40 cents in the glass bottle.
Good thing, I don’t have parasites any more. The meds cleared me out in like 3 days and I only had to take them for 5 so it was way chill. The mission is going good and my body is getting used to Nicaragua, I haven’t got sick for like 2 weeks so that is dope.
That’s about it with my random tangents. The mission is sweet. The church is true and time is going by fast.
Peace and love,
Elder Rushton
