4/6/15
So this morning I wrote you but I forgot to take a picture of it so I’ll send it next week. This key board is really terrible so I’ll try to write you a bit, but it’s a struggle haha. This week was good conference was super good. I loved it. As missionaries we have to have 4 investigators each time we go to a session and seeing as it was spring break it was a little difficult. We went to priesthood and then to both sessions on Sunday. We got the priesthood session and one session on Sunday free. It was a good week. I’m downloading them all in English so ill listen to them in the morning.
Anyways, I understand them good in Spanish. My Spanish is alright not super good cause I’ve only had 1 comp for 1 transfer that only talked Spanish other than that I’ve had gringos and my trainer who would only talk to me in English. I’m doing good despite the fact but I’m really hoping for a Hispanic comp this next change. That’s when your Spanish gets really good, but it’s all doing good.
Today was super cool. We finally made it to the Lagoona de Apoyece Algo Asi. It’s a lagoon above Xiloa that’s in my area. It’s a volcano and it’s old and it has a lake inside it. It was way cool. The hardest part was finding the trail haha. But with a lot of walking and asking we finally found it. When we finally got there it only took 20 minutes to get to the top. Everyone was telling us about how it would take a whole day and it was super dangerous and all these crazy things. They said we needed a guide and stuff haha. It’s like a little hill. It’s just hard because it has lots of trees and there is a military zone there that if you enter you get put into prison for 3 days. But we found some hommies who told us actually how to get there and not just tons of crazy things, and then in route a truck was like hey where are you going? Get in we’re going the same way. They dropped us off and gave us a broom handle filled full of rocks just in case we ran into anacondas or robbers haha. It was dope. Unfortunately we ran into no wild life. I was stoked, rumor had it that there are giant iguanas, anacondas and crocodiles but we found none of them. It was also a 2 hour hike too entonces que va hacer.
I love ya all tons. You’re the best. I’ll send some pics. We will go there with the district next week again. We were just the pioneers. I’ll try to get some better pictures. My comp is just artistic with music not with photography, but its chill.
And don’t you worry about me I’m not coming home for nothing. I know where I am and don’t want to be anywhere else. I just wish that there was some snow here too haha
I love ya all tons. Peace and love,
Z
