What up family? Well this week was good. Elder Olsen got changes. He was cool so that was kind of a bummer. My new companion is cool. He was in my district back in Sandino. He is from Nampa, Idaho so that’s cool. He’s chill.
This week was good, but a lot of work because when Olsen and another missionary left for changes the new missionaries didn’t come here until Thursday so we just had 2 missionaries for the 2 areas and we were running all over trying to do everything and find divisions. We got it all done.
This week we had 5 baptisms, 4 kids of less active families and 1 guy named Ernesto. He is cool. The missionaries were teaching him like 3 months ago but he had to leave to Estell for a medical problem but now he is doing better so he finally made it back to Blue Fields this week to get baptized. We just had to repass over everything and baptize him. He’s cool and it all went well.
Last month in my area me and my companion had 7 baptisms. We tied for 3rd most baptisms for companionships for the month. This month so far we have had 7 and we should get 1 more so we will probably get in the top again.
Our other baptism this month is a girl named Areanne. She is super cool. She has been a golden investigator. We met her 3 weeks ago contacting. We shared the first lesson about the restoration and put a baptismal date for the 26th of this month. Normally we put the dates a little farther out so they can miss a time in church but we put it so she had to go to church 3 consecutive Sundays to meet the goal. The first Sunday she went to church she really liked it and it turned out that she had a couple of friends in church too. Every lesson we teach she gets it all super easy. It’s always just like “Do you have any questions?” “No it makes sense.” “Did you read the chapter of the Book of Mormon we left with you?” “Yeah.”
She is super cool, always keeps the commitments, goes to church and gets everything. We were like so your baptism is next week how do you feel about that and she was like Yeah, I’m going to get baptized next week I’m ready. She was even an easier investigator than the fake ones in the MTC haha. God has really prepared her well to accept his message and she is only 18. I can almost guarantee that she’ll go on a mission in a year. Next week is her baptism.
Peace and Love,
Z
