This week was a good week. It went by super-fast. The mission is crazy that it’s all just a blur because time is so fast. Every week is just cooking and when it’s Saturday it is always like wait I haven’t taught them or them all the things I wanted to. Where did the time go? How is it already Sunday? But that is a good thing to always be sprinting around working hard because it makes the mission fun.
This week was good. We were able to find some good new investigators so that was good. We found this one guy that loves to read and he was just telling us all about these books that he reads and how every 15 days he reads a book of like 600 pages. So we taught him about the restoration then we were like and the evidence of this is the Book of Mormon and explained it all and he was stoked about it and the next day we passed by and he had already read 30 pages, so that was cool. Hopefully he will progress. Sometimes people like that can be tricky. They are investigating the church for knowledge and not for salvation, but we’ll see how he is because he seems good, like spiritual. We have had investigators before who read the Book of Mormon, go to church but just won’t pray. I think he will pray. He’s moreh chill than other people we’ve taught that are like him. On Sunday he couldn’t go to church because he had people coming to visit. Hopefully this next week he reads something that helps him get a little bit of a testimony so he will go to church.
We still eat breakfast at George’s. It’s good food. We are trying to get him to go to church but he is super nervous about it. So we’ll keep working there.
This week we were able to talk to Armando’s wife. That was good. She isn’t so closed up anymore. We are making progress. He almost always goes to church and everyone is like why haven’t you been baptized yet? Because he is pretty much a member. He even pays tithing haha. We are just working on getting his wife to marry him.
The work is going well. This last month we didn’t get any baptisms. That stunk. They all fell through or we squeezed them into last month because my companion and I felt like we might be transferred. But this month we are lining up for a home run. We’ve got a good vision and some good possibilities so hopefully it all works out. With God nothing is impossible.
Another cool thing that happened this week was one night on the way home this dog started following me. When I would pause or turn around or look at him he would act like he wasn’t following me. Then when I would start walking again he would just follow right behind me. Then when we got to the house it even followed us into the house so we gave it some bread. It was a chill dog and one of the few that actually gets bathed and is clean and not diseased. We named him Ralphy and he chilled with us for like 15 minutes and then left but it was chill.
Peace and Love,
Z
