That’s crazy you had an earthquake. They have them here but we haven’t had one yet. They had 2 last month. There are green circles everywhere, if they have one we have to meet at them. The ccm is really big its 91 acres, mostly big fields and stuff but its way cool. The ccm is in the middle of the ghetto pretty much of Mexico city. Our investigator that we teach that is from a ward around here. She says this part of Mexico city is way dirty she says the south part of Mexico city is a ton nicer. At night there are just a million dogs barking it’s crazy all night long. It’s rained a couple of times. The rain here is cool there is a lot of it and it’s pretty much like being in a shower the air is hot and the rain is warm. I’m learning a ton here. Spanish is going good. I’m not too worried about it. I’m learning a ton. The ccm is a super spiritual place and it’s really not bad here because there are only like 300 missionaries and its 3 times larger than the Provo mtc. In the next couple of months we will get to around 1000 missionaries so it will be more crowded then but still not bad. Everything is like pretty much outdoors. It’s hot in some classes but not bad I fall asleep in a lot of classes but I try not to. They have like a movie theater here and on Sunday they have a devotional and we get to watch a couple of church films. They were good. For the devotional part we watched a talk from Elder Holland last year. It was good but I fell asleep and at the end I woke up and looked over and I thought my companion was asleep so I woke him up and said “dude wake up Elder Butterfield too” and he was like, “It’s a prayer, no one is sleeping” and I looked around and everyone was praying. It was funny but I didn’t really feel bad about it because it was a prayer on the TV and a rerun, but it was still way funny. I forgot my camera cord at the apartment or I would send pictures but I don’t really have any good pictures anyway. I’ve only taken a few. My companion is Elder Morales he is chill. Sometimes he can be up tight but he is pretty cool. I’ve put an Alta sticker on my bed frame and that’s dope. Our food here is good. We get like some sort of meat with a sauce every day and I get corn tortillas and make tacos with beans and rice with the meat and get some sort of fruit. There are a few I don’t even know what they are, one with way hard seeds and one that is like a mix between a pear and an apple but its bigger. They’re both alright not the best. I eat a ton of mangos though and cut them into the cube things like mom always does. The mangos here are way good but the bananas are worse than bananas back home they are smaller and a lot of the time they are only as long as my finger. They’re like mini bananas. I really don’t have tons to write about but tons of time so this letter is just kinda long and random. The bugs aren’t too bad we have got a few cockroaches and one time they left the apartment door open and I counted in Spanish and I killed 47 mosquitoes because all of the mosquitoes hang out during the day in this stair well right in front of our door. As long as we leave the door shut it’s not bad at all. Gym is fun I wreck a ton of kids in ping pong and play volley ball it’s a good time. Well cool beans Mexico is cool, the gospel is great and that’s about it.
