What up family? This week was good, busy but good. Monday we didn’t have p-day because on Tuesday at 3 we left to Juigalpa because we were going to Playa Gigante as a mission for an activity. At the beginning of the year Pres. Russell put the goal of 2,060 baptisms in the year of 2015 for the mission and if we got it we would have a BBQ on the beach. We got 2,158 so we got the BBQ. We got the record for the history of the mission so that was cool. The activity was a lot of fun but a lot of bussing. We left Tuesday at 3, got to Juigalpa at 10 and then we left Wednesday at 4 and got to the beach at 11. We left the beach at 5 and got to Juigalpa at 11 and then we left Thursday at 4 and got to Bluefields at 12 so it was a ton of travel. The activity was fun. We ate hamburgers and hot dogs and played some sports on the beach, soccer, Frisbee, volleyball. It was fun but as missionaries we couldn’t swim or touch the water so it was difficult watching everyone swimming in the ocean haha. We were all sweating and covered in sand on the beach. But it was a good activity
Lately there have been a number of activities like Christmas, a multi zone, this activity and now on the 25th there is a multi-mission with a general authority so that will be cool. This month has gone a little slow with baptisms. We are holding onto 4 baptisms for the 30th. We are working hard on them. There is a girl named Seishana. She is the cousin of Merfly. She is going to be baptized and then we have another dude Jose, he’s cool. He likes the church and then 2 buddies of a recent convert Abel and Jerald. So we are working hard on them to pull out the 4 this month.
We have been teaching this guy Ronald and his wife Maria. They started coming to church and they love it and all but they haven’t been able to be baptized because we have been trying to get a divorce for him so they can get married. Then he had a straight act of God and his ex-wife sent him the divorce papers. No one had talked to her or anything. The only problem is they sent him a bill for child support for 15 thousand cords a year. He only makes 5 thousand cords a month (180 dollars) working as a police man so he is decently poor. Now he is nervous to marry again because of what happened to him the last time. We are making progress and we are going to bring a bunch of members to talk to them too. They are super cool and we found him way long ago. He is finally getting pretty close to baptism but we also have to take out papers to marry them so it is still a process.
We also have another investigator waiting on divorce. It is a long process but patience eventually works out.
Peace and Love,
Z
