What up? This week was good. The work went well. Elder Merril came out to visit us in Bluefields. That was chill. He worked with my companion and I worked with his companion Elder Lunt. We contacted all day. It was good. We found some cool people.
This week one cool story was that we were walking and I had some trash in my back pocket and as we walked I was looking for a trash can and I finally found one. Then I was like, “wait, what if there is a trash can because God wants me to contact the house.” So we contacted it and this cool dude came out. He is like 20 or so and really liked our message and when we told him to not believe us but that we wanted him to pray and ask God he was super surprised like, “Why would I not believe you guys? This is a great message.” He was cool but didn’t go to church this week so we’ll see why not. When we passed by he wasn’t home on Sunday morning so we’ll see why but he was cool so hopefully he goes to church next Sunday.
Also another cool spiritual experience on the way home on New Year’s we were walking and there were some kids with fire crackers and as we walked past it was up against a concrete wall so when they threw the fire cracker I just plugged my ear on the side of the fire cracker because I didn’t want to have my ears ringing because it was super loud because of the concrete wall. Then some drunk guy thought it was super funny that I plugged my ear so he started laughing and then as we were walking a bottle rocket goes flying right past us and hits some house and the neighbors got really mad at the kids and then as we turned the corner a big rocket blew up right where we were and all the people around got really mad at the kids because it was actually really dangerous. The fire works here are really just like straight up bombs. I knew this one lady who was missing like half of her fingers from a fire work but it was a cool story because we were like Samuel the Lamanite, where God protected us even though they shot fireworks at us. It was chill because we knew that God protects us and that’s why they couldn’t hit us.
Those were my cool stories of the week but the work is going good and the microwave they gave us is sick and I’ve learned to cook like everything in it. I can now cook noodles in a microwave, it’s sweet.
Peace and love,
Z
