This week was good 9-1-14
This week was good. We did a lot of work and it flew by super fast. I worked with a member one day and we were on divisions 2 days and had a triple one day. We got a ton of work done this week, found a ton of new people and had 2 baptisms yesterday. It was two little girls from a less active member family. They were 10 and 12 they’re cool so that was sweet. Hopefully it helps the family come to church. The whole family came to the baptism and to church. We’ll try to keep them coming to church.
Saturday was super cool cause we had a 18 baptisms in one day. Me and my comp had 2 and other missionaries came from different areas and we had 2 families of 6 and just a few other people. Two of the baptisms where at different times but we have 16 baptisms in the same service. The prez was impressed. He was here on Sunday and all of them got confirmed too. Missionary work is sweet.
I have had 6 baptisms already so that is super cool. In this mission if you work hard and have a positive attitude you can baptize. Our area got 42 baptisms this month. That’s the most our zone has got in 2 years so that is super cool. This month has been sweet hopefully next month is similar haha, hopefully the whole mish is similar, 6 baptisms a month I could live with that for the whole mission. I’ll try my best to keep it like that. The mission is going by super fast. It hasn’t felt like I’ve been here almost 3 months.
I’ve learned a ton of Spanish this week. Spanish is coming along good every day is better than the last. I just keep learning more. This week I’ve been eating a lot of oatmeal it’s way good. They just have the oats from Quaker. I put manzana tang on it and it tastes just like an instant oatmeal packet. I eat a ton of it, like a bag of it a day almost. The bag is 7 tazas which I’m not sure if that’s a cup or less but it’s a lot of oatmeal. It’s super good and cheap so that’s sweet.
I know you think Finn and Hudson were tough in church but don’t worry about them. The kids in church here are bad. It blows my mind they just let all of the kids roam free and they all congregate in the front and back of the room and they are all yelling and chasing each other everywhere, up on the stand in the front and just yelling. They all have like plastic cars they just bang on the tile the whole time there are times when you can’t even hear the speaker. One Sunday the mic didn’t work and I was on like the 3 or 4 row right in the center, like less than 20 feet away and I didn’t even try to listen cause it was so loud. It was impossible I just read the Linahona haha, so don’t worry about the kids I’m sure they are angels compared to here.
Well that’s really about it. As a district we are going to watch Charley in the church today and maybe go eat pizza.
The mission is sweet the church is true.
Peace and love,
Z
