Monday already. Is time this fast for you guys too, cause it’s crazy. Everything here is doing good. This last week was good we found a lot of positive people and found a lot of less actives. There is a ton of inactives. Our ward has an attendance of like 150 but has more than 1,000 members. Super bad right? So we’re working on that. We are working on reactivating a few families with a little bit of success.
This week we had a little earthquake. I just felt like a drunk for a little bit when I was walking and felt like the world started moving but it was little. Sometimes they have bigger ones here like in the 5’s but I haven’t been here for one of them.
This last week we also had a multi zone conference with Elder Duncan of the 70’s so that was chill. Everyone was freaking out and me and some other missionaries were joking like, in Utah you can’t walk down the street without finding a 70 and then it turns out that Elder Duncan is our neighbor. He lives in front of the Bountiful temple, so that was funny. The multi zone was good, but long and it made the week harder cause we pretty much loose a day of work.
Right now we have a few really positive investigators so I’m excited to see them get baptized in the next few weeks. Reopening an area is a little tricky because just now we are finally getting to the baptismal dates of our positive investigators. You always find people to teach but only a few positives a week like 1 or 2 that are actual possibilities for baptism. So since we started with zero we’ve worked our way up and finally in the next couple of weeks we should have some good baptisms. We baptized the one 10 year old girl, Josslin and then we had a kid named Luis too but they had some family problems which are clearing up so we’ll see when he can be baptized. Then we have a girl named Kaylin. She is all ready we are just waiting for her mom to be able to come into town for the baptism.
All these three are really cool but in the next 2 weeks we should hopefully have some baptisms of adults and not just part member families which is good. To have a good area you have to have both. Where we are working right now we have 6 that are good possibilities to get into the water and if we figure out the family problems with Luis we would have 7 so hopefully the next few weeks are successful. I’m hoping so.
Today we had to go to Managua again which stinks pretty much cause it’s chill and all but there is nothing to do there. My comp had to get his Nicaraguense ID. After we went to a ghetto mall where every store is pretty much a different version of Ross but it was chill. There is a huge mall pretty close and super easy to get to called Metro Central but we aren’t allowed to go there. It used to be allowed but not anymore. We are just stuck with the couple ghetto stores. There is pretty much nothing I need. I got a can of Canada Dry Ginger ale, which is chill and some soap which is pretty dope.
The mission is sweet! Peace and love,
Z
