What up family? This week was chill. We were able to get a lot done, work super hard and had some good lessons. It was a good week. It was changes and thankfully I didn’t get changed cause I like this area. It’s pretty good. We were going to have a baptism of Randle on Saturday. He is the kid of our investigator Armando who needs to be married to be baptized. They are a super cool family. We are just waiting to get them married. His wife just isn’t interested in the church. She hasn’t gone to church yet and she always does something else when we come to teach. They will get married it is just going to take a bit of time. We want her to go to Randle’s baptism so she will feel the spirit and see the church.
We were going to baptize Randle on Saturday but our phone was broken all day and the other missionaries had a baptism before us so they were going to fill the font but it turned out that when we got there there was no water and the other missionaries had been running around for a couple of hours to figure it out. He’ll be baptized this next Saturday which could actually be better cause we want his mom to go but she pulled out at the last second on Saturday, so hopefully this next Saturday she’ll come. We’ll fill the font the day before in the morning. The other missionaries baptized the next day in the morning and had to pay the firemen 30 bucks to fill the font with a hose so that sucked for them.
This week was chill. I don’t really know what to write about most of the time but Sunday was good. During the week this guy just came out of his house and started talking to us. He is cool and said he was going to go to church and so on Sunday we went to take him to church and we were walking like regular missionaries—a little fast and he was keeping up just fine and so we commented that he walked fast and usually we have to walk way slow when we walk with people to church. He told us, “I sell cleaners all day so I’m active and have to walk fast.” He then got stoked about it or something because he started walking so fast. We were just booking it to the church following him. He was taking all these short cuts we didn’t know through dry river beds and stuff and sometimes he would just start running and the whole time he was just talking about how he was the best cleaner salesman in Sandino cause he is so fast. It was chill cause we were running late but we got to church on time for sacrament as we practically sprinted all the way there. When we got there we were just pouring sweat cause it was way hot out and we were just sitting in church dripping sweat. It was funny. He’s kind of crazy but he really liked the church but he has a lot of problems that would keep him from being baptized but we’ll see. We’ll give it a shot.
Well peace and love,
Z
