Well this week was good. We had a baptism so that was good. It was cool to be opening an area and already get a baptism. The first Sunday we were here she came to church. We found her on Saturday before church. She has an aunt and a cousin who are members so she went to church and now is baptized and has the support of her cousin and aunt who are cool active members. So we’ll have good retention there.
We have some good investigators right now and some future baptisms. We also have contacted almost all of my area that is in Rivas. I just have a little barrio called Cristo Rey and then Popollapa here in Rivas. Popollapa is just a few streets along the road to other towns with not many houses but we still have contacting to do there. Then we have Buenos Aires which is 4 km from our house. It is not that far really but it’s still a decent walk. Buenos Aires is a decent little town. You could contact every house there in like 2 changes or so because it’s not too big. With luck we have 20km of little towns and neighborhoods scattered among the cane fields.
We tried to get permission for bikes. Our mission leader really wanted us to get bikes and talked to the bishop and all and they said that if we could get permission for bikes that the stake would supply us with bikes but the President said no so we just walk a lot. It’s chill.
It’s a good area. We have found some good people to teach and the house where we live is nice for Nicaragua. I think I already wrote about it. We rent part of this 2 story house. It has a lot of bats in the ceiling so it’s cool. The one problem of this area is the wash lady. She doesn’t wash all that well and all our shirts come back with all the same marks still on them. If they got dirty, they come back dirty and she doesn’t iron anything. We have to pay her more than normal so hopefully we find a new member to wash our clothes.
My stove is super sweet. I cannot think of anything to write to finish off this page but I just ate some good spaghetti. I cooked it on my stove. It’s cool to have a stove because in the mission we just have lunch and we need to find breakfast and dinner. The houses don’t have stoves so for the most part we just eat like chips and coke. But since I’ve got a stove its super cool because I get to eat top ramen and spaghetti.
Well the page is done so Peace and Love,
Z
