Well the week is going well. Right now we have some cool people we are teaching. There is this single man named Toemi and his sons, his sister and other family members. They are cool. They all came to church on Sunday and they love it when we visit. They always have good questions and are interested and are praying and everything so we have hoping to get them all in the water this month.
We also are teaching this guy named Ronald and his wife and daughter. They are super cool. He especially loves the church. He’s really cool. He is always telling us how ever since the first time we talked to him that he felt something in his heart and that made him want to know more and that the church is good so he is super cool. It goes to show the great influence of the spirit on people. Really as missionaries we don’t do much. We just show up and try our best to invite the spirit and he does the rest. It’s cool to see an investigator progress and see their testimonies grow. It always amazes me when an investigator shares with us their testimony because I’m always just like, “Wow, I taught you absolutely none of that. Where did that come from? All I’ve done is pass by 2 times a week for the last 3 or 4 weeks and brought you to church.” It is incredible to see the influence of the spirit on others.
Ronald is way cool but it’s going to be a lot of work to baptize him because we also have to get him divorced and then married with the lady he is with currently. We’ll baptize his daughter this month and get all the divorce stuff started but they are super cool.
On Sunday we were able to get Bernardo confirmed. We showed up at his house Sunday morning at like 6:10 in the morning and we just waited until we heard that they were up and then we yelled Buenas because there is no doorbell. So they came out and we told him we needed help to greet the people at the church so we could drop him off at like 7:30 so it was sure. He got confirmed.
We are also still practicing the piano at 6 in the morning. I’m learning some simplified hymns. It’s chill. The president’s wife told us that we need to move so we found a new house. Well the mission leader did and so hopefully this week we’ll move.
I’m getting old. I’m now 20. I ate pancakes for breakfast but other than that it was just normal. Ohh, but I did have success this year because no one broke eggs on my head so that was nice.
Peace and Love,
Z
