This week was good and we were able to teach some good people. This next week the goal is 4 baptisms so I hope it goes well, one kid is still unsure and 2 of them the lady has to get married to her less active husband and we’ll be able to baptize her and her daughter. The paper work is proving to be a little tricky and we might have to get papers from Managua so we’ll see, we hope not so that they can be baptized this week. They are super excited to be baptized. This next week is cool because 3 of the 4 baptisms are people I was here to find. They were references of the branch president of part member families. The other baptisms we had this month were pre-existing investigators from before I got here. This next month we have some good positive people so the work is going good here.
This week I got some new ties and one is red. Here in Blue Fields it rains every day and when I wore the red tie it got wet and made my shirt all pink. But I got some good ties.
Super funny, this week at night there was a crab running in the street. He is almost the size of a fist but people don’t eat this kind of crab so we scooped it up in a cereal box and put it in a water dispenser for a couple of days until one morning an elder in the house was like I’m going to let the crab go because It’s going to die here. So he dumped it out in front of the house and the crab started running around in the street and got hit by a car haha. It was funny because Elder Page was like I’m going to save the crab and it almost made it across the street but got hit by a taxi and now it is a pizza. We were all good work Elder Page you almost saved the crab.
Also this week on Sunday I worked in divisions with an Elder who isn’t too stoked about the work. He works but likes to chill a lot and because of it doesn’t have a lot of success. On Sunday their companionship was doing divisions in my area and so I was working with him. It was a super cool day because we found a ton of positive people and put a ton of baptismal dates on the calendar. It was a good day. All of our contacts were guided by the spirit. We would just walk around and contact a house and they would be positive and the kind of distracted Elder was super stoked about the work like wow these people are so positive and so that was cool. Hopefully he sees the difference from working hard and keeps it up.
To answer your questions my companion is Elder Olsen and he is from Utah out by the copper mine. I learned how to make the delicious coconut bread and it is super easy. I haven’t eaten any fish yet and our meeting with the member of the twelve is on the 29th.
Well Peace and Love,
Z
